Join a pre-carnaval celebration with Los Bros & The Maracats. Combining Latin Jazz with a large Samba/Maracatu bateria, these two ensembles will showcase their Carnaval 2009 repertoire. In keeping with this year's theme "Seeds of Change", they will perform: Bhajans to the Goddess Kali, Samba in 5/4, some radical Maracatu and chants for Osain. Los Bros, featuring several of the Bay Area's top Latin performers, will add their juju to the mix, including many special guests. Their special all-natural costumes by designer Theron Nelson will also be on display A fundraiser to support their Carnaval contingent!
