This series of Mexican music continues with La Familia Peña-Govea, who will present a memorable program of Mexican rancheras, waltzes, polkas, boleros, and cumbias with great gusto! La Famlia Peña -Govea is Susan Peña (the mother - vocals, violin and guitar), Miguel Govea (the father - vocals, trumpet, violin, guitarron, and button accordion), and Cecilia (13 year old daughter - vocals, trumpet, and guiro). La Familia Peña-Govea is gaining a well-deserved reputation as an exciting San Francisco-based band of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists who perform a wide-range of traditional and original music in a variety of styles.
